2016 Chevra Kadisha and Jewish Cemetery Conference

Welcome to our next conference, the 14th annual North American Chevra Kadisha and Jewish Cemetery Conference which will be held at Temple Emunah in Lexington, Massachusetts June 5-7, 2016.

Timing - The conference officially begins at noon on Sunday and ends at 1pm on Tuesday. We will have workshops, talks, text study, networking, and meals through 10 pm each night and we start programming at 7am.  

Watch for announcements of some pre and post conference activities.

Meals - In addition to Sunday brunch, we provide six Kosher meals as part of your conference registration. Please let us know if you have allergies or special dietary needs.

Flights - Direct flights to Boston. It is 30 minutes driving from the airport to the synagogue. Other transport may take longer. 

Hotels - We have negotiated great hotel rates. Please don't wait to make your reservations. And we have home hospitality options.

Refunds

90% of the registration fee if you cancel in writing before May 1.

80% of the registration fee if you cancel in writing before May 15.

50% of the registration fee if you cancel in writing June 1 or later, and only if you have a really good excuse!

Program - The conference program has been re-designed this year. Instead of tracks, this year's conference will focus on five topics - Tahara, Community Involvement, Text Study, Community Education, and Tahara Complications. Three to five workshops will be offered during each topic focused block.
